All right! Let’s make this happen. That’s correct; today is the end of an error—the last blog.

It actually really sucks because I know a bunch of you are going to miss it (me too), but it’s just that time.

Over the last few weeks you guys have made me consider how I’d stay in touch with you, at least for the near future, while the blog was gone. I came up with a few ideas. Want to hear them? Well here they are:

First: Ah ha! I bought www.OmarJoseph.com like 4 years ago and never did anything with it. Go there now—it’s just my logo–how lame. Yes, it’s lame, but I really never had the inspiration to do anything with it.

Side note: Brian, I just realized I picked up that URL after/because I thought you were so cool when you picked up BrianMdotnet.

Anyway, I guess I have to call up my boy in India and have him put that site together.  No seriously—I actually have a web guy in India. They’ll be some misc. bio stuff on there, but most importantly, a blog! So I’ll blog it out when I feel like it and figure out a nice, neat distribution mechanism.

Second: Yep, twit A dee ditter. “You can find me on twitter, bottle full ‘o bub!” Yep www.twitter.com/mromarj Pretty much, I’m on there every day so if you want to talk to me or find out my movements that’s the spot.

Ok, what’s next? For number three how about we go old school? You can always call me? My number’s been the same since college, but if you don’t have it, it’s (732) 684-2996. For you social misfits who only like to text, text me. I’m always up for a conversation or a random trip OT—out of town, so call me!

Finally, number four is a simple one: Shot me an e-mail. My e-mail has been the same since college too— doamtk@yahoo.com. If you want to be cute e-mail me at OmarJ@omarjoseph.com.

Yep, pretty much that’s it. The blog will stay up for the foreseeable future so if you missed something or want some classic laughs do some browsing anytime at www.MyHappyFriday.net. For those of you who still don’t know I’m married or even got engaged, you can find out how that happened at www.IFinallyDidIt.com.

Thanks to everyone for their support, good times and memories.

Wrap it up Jeeves, I’m done.

You ever have a stupid conversation with someone and then want to smack yourself because you realized you’d never be able to get that time back? That’s how I feel.

My mother decided it was a good idea to give one of her colleagues my number and I had to sit through a ridiculous hour-long presentation about the latest and greatest pyramid scheme. I’m not sure what was better—him screaming mo’ money, mo’ money or him asking me if I’d cash a check for $202,000. Thanks, Mom!

Anyway, super communicator Charles Y. launched his new company website sometime last week or at least that’s when I saw it. Congrats on the new venture, sir.

On Sunday not only did I have the opportunity to eat the absolutely worst pancakes ever, I also picked up my second wedding ring. It fits a little weird because my knuckle is still a little big, but it’s cool. J

Sunday, was also the NBA All-star game. Now, I don’t care how you feel about Shaq’s antics, you have to give it to him for his intro. That big boy can dance!

So I told Lisa that the Yankees would win the World Series this year and that worst case scenario would be that they at least get there. I tell you this so you can write it down and lock it in your memory.

Before I went to my video/photo shoot on Tuesday I found this article detailing how hackers are trying to breach Obama’s blackberry. That’s intriguing stuff.

Thursday I was able to fulfill the final bet I had from the Super Bowl. I had to wear this ridiculous blanket like a cape for the entire day. Lucky for me I was busy and sat at my desk most of the day.

I finished off the day fixing an issue over at Tyco. I saw my buddy Pam before I left. Then I went back home and lost that hour of my life I couldn’t get back.

For those of you who into that this type of thing, I guess Chris Brown really did it. That’s sick. No way you’re going to get away with that, buddy.

I think the only appropriate way to start your morning is with a bit of laugher. My boss sent this video to me the other day and it’s perfect for Friday morning. If you have a second you should check out the related videos. They are even funnier.

Anyway, Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Mercer County is having their annual Bowl for Kids Sake event again. My buddy Bob C. and I put together a team as usual. You can check out our page, join the team and/or donate here.

Have you ever wondered why you get pulled over so much? Maybe your car is cop magnet. That link also shows you the reverse list.

As you have to know my boy A-Rod was found out over the weekend. I was definitely crushed to see such a premier athlete get knocked off his pedestal, but oh well. The Yankees will win the World Series. Write it down.

Other than that the news of the weekend was looking at houses. Rachel and I saw four or five. Hopefully, we find one soon.

Lucky for me I’m going to get to work with Lynne P. for the next few weeks on a project. Unlucky for her, she’s in some random place in Tennessee this weekend visiting family. If you get a chance, stop by Lynchburg for me.

I had a quick convo’ with the “Pontiff” Kenny P. himself. He got a new job which is great, but what does that mean for our softball team, man? We need that bat!

Wednesday was a special day for Bob M. and Rudy T. Both young men celebrated a birthday. :)

So lucky for us the stimulus package is almost ready to go so hopefully the economy will pick up sooner rather than later.

I don’t know about where you live, but the wind out here was absolutely nutty. It was blowing so hard on Thursday that it woke me up and that’s saying a lot for a person who sleep through this.

Audios Amigos.

He’s a guy with a blog who likes to write it every week—Oh–Mar! We’ve been singing that silly song from the worst Super Bowl commercial ever! Speaking of the Super Bowl, did you hear about the lil’ interruption that a few people got in Arizona? That is so funny.

Oddly enough, writing two blogs last week screws me all up as far as content is concerned. I got nothing left! Anyway, I do have to give it up to the Steelers for losing winning the Super Bowl. They played well and it was a good game. So I’ll be fulfilling a few bets I lost sometime soon. That’s going to suck. And yes, Cindy you got the last laugh.

Any way I spent most of my Tuesday at a photo shoot. I think it was when I got back to the office that the whole MacGrubber thing starter, but I have no clue. If you click the first link you will understand. We’ve been yelling that nonsense for the last few days. It’s hilarious. And don’t get mad at me if you can’t stop singing it.

I had the pleasure of having lunch with Sue and the team on Wednesday. She had some very intriguing stories to tell! That along with the great food made for good times.

Thursday I found myself in West Long Branch for a meeting with Jen A. Again good times were had by all. Besides the two hours of extra driving, I couldn’t complain.

I finished off the day watching my boy Kobe and the Lakers take on the Celtics! It’s been a really good basketball week for any of you who are into that type of thing. That’s all I’ve been watching.

Well that’s it. Short week, short blog. Have a great weekend!

Let’s call this the video edition of the My Happy Friday. I didn’t do much this week so my boredom will benefit those of you with some idol time on your hands. I found a video for nearly every mood you might possibly be in. But first, I received this great commentary from my buddy Mike K. about today’s youth. I’ll try not to make the same mistakes with my kids, Mike.

Ok, wait, five quick things before the videos. Darren now is a partial owner of three planes! Congrats! Visa is about to have an IPO, buy it while you can. (P.S. They aren’t responsible for debt; they are just the largest processor in the US.) Watch where you read your Dilbert, you could get fired. No more hand-held cell phones in New Jersey. Finally, hi Rachel. If I didn’t mention you wouldn’t you be mad?

So here’s how it works. Scan the moods below. If you are in that mood, click the video.

“And the winner is….. Me…..SPEECH!” First of all I’d like to thank Pat for giving me the inspiration to go on. This morning she told me that [I] taught [her] how to be scared to death with a smile on [her] face. She was referring to our fun ride into work today. We carpooled because the weather was bad. Thanks for the laughs, Pat.

Friday, I think the baby bug came back around. The second person in about the same number of weeks told me they were with baby. I have a feeling a few more of you will pop up out of the bushes with a surprise of your own soon. Congrats to you two though.

Saturday I realized I might want to pay a bit more attention to Rachel and less to my pseudo god—Wii. I didn’t realize a video game could be the sole cause of separation.I was partially surprised that Lisa G. made partial good on her promise to bake cookies for me and the staff. She brought me a few cinnamon sugar cookies. They were smashing. If you happen to be a Phillies fan, they proved that they are clearly better pranksters than baseball players.

Who knew you could get all of these things for free? In these times, a list like this is pretty cool. When I went to get lunch on Monday, I was getting my fountain drink and I spilled the fruit punch all over the floor. My curse continues.

I was excited to stop by my mailbox and get a surprise gift from Kya. She’d sent Rachel and I Valentine’s Day gifts. Nice! Jen came back from business trip on Wednesday and gave me a keychain. I think we are best friends now.

Here are two videos to get you through the snow day:

Feb 15

So, eh. GOOOOOOOOOOOD morning. I am really a little tired. Recently it’s been about work, but today it’s because of last night. I took Rachel rock climbing at the Rockville Climbing Center where we learned to belay, I think that’s how you spell it, and climb rocks. HA.

I lived a pretty boring week this week. Now that I look back on it, it was one of the more boring weeks in recent history. I took a day off on Tuesday and saw my buddy Tony at Mailbox Etc. After a quick talk about baseball and hockey and I was gone. I thought it’d be cute to do the dishes before Rachel got home and I ended up cutting my pinky in two places on a broken wine glass. Very cute.

Later Rachel came home and made chili! Wednesday was one of those crazy/rough/insane, whatever you want to call it, days at work. I felt like I needed a Pepto Bismol

So the question of the week is what did you get Rachel for V day. I first I have to say that I love Google’s Valentine’s Day logo. Isn’t it cool? So here’s the short of what I got her: Monday I sent her a bunch of coffee K-cups for her new Keurig coffee maker. Kind of a weird gift, but we’ve been using the thing for hot water for the last few months on the account that we couldn’t find the stupid cartridges in stores. Then I sent her a bunch of candles on Wednesday in a heart-shaped box.

For Valentine’s Day I had lunch catered for her office. That probably sounds greater and more expensive than it was. She’s got about seven employees in her office so it wasn’t so crazy. When she came home we went indoor rock climbing. We had a blast. Our instructor Kevin was really great. I was definitely scared Rachel might drop me a few times. I have to tell you that climbing when you’re afraid of heights makes it that much more exciting.

Oh yeah, thanks to Elaine for the build your own cupcake party yesterday. Here’s a V day gift to the ladies. It’s a Suze Orman e-book about women and money. And here’s a video that’s sure to make every on smile.

A good day to you and have a nice weekend.

Feb 08

OMG! It’s the year of the Rat! Yesterday Rachel and I celebrated the Chinese New Year. I enjoyed this feast. Mmm Mmm…

So I spent the first half of the weekend working at Tyco with a couple of cool installers. Sunday Rachel and I took a ride down to AC to watch the Super Bowl. That was a bad idea; too many Giants fans for my liking. For kicks I decided to count jerseys. By the end of the night I saw 30 Giants jerseys, 1 Patriot jersey, 1 Steelers jersey, 1 Jets jersey and 1 Giants Santa hat. So the Giants won, whuptie doo.

So Rachel sent me this cool vote chooser. It’s pretty worthless now with the primary over, but it’s kind of cool to know who’s ideas match up with your for November.

So Monday was the start of a string of crazy work days. I spent most of my time working with my buddy, my pal Jane W. She’s got a few big events coming up so we’re kicking it into overdrive!

Tuesday I ended up going to lunch with Jerry and a couple of our Novo Nordisk buddies. It was Jerry and I’s first time at PF Changs. The food was good, but clearly not interesting enough for us. For some reason we thought it might be fun to eat a hot pepper. 10 seconds later half of my mouth was on fire. What’s life without a bit of excitement?

Oddly enough, my officemate didn’t watch a minute of the Super Bowl. Instead she watched the Puppy bowl. The two-minute clip was classic, but two hours of that? I don’t think I could do it. I spent my Wednesday night working on a last-minute project for, wait who else, Jane! I think I’ll make Jane my word of the week. Either that or Jack. He is clearly my favorite kid that I have never met. And his mother tells the best stories!

Yesterday I cracked open a Rubik’s cube that Rachel gave to me. I’m going to spend the rest of my 20s trying to figure that one out. A few weeks ago I purchased myself a jump rope. It’s one of those speed ropes or whatever; nice I think. I wonder how it compares to this one.

Well folks, since I didn’t do much more than work late, and happen to be really tired, my funny stories are short this week. I’d love to hear yours. Leave a comment or shoot me an e-mail.

P.S. Take pride in the fact that you have just killed the work week.

Blurrrrrrrrinnnnng, bluuurrrrrrinnnnng….this is your wake up call! I feel good, how about you? It’s Friday, the day I like to call my bridge to the weekend, and I do expect the weekend to be crazy!

Last Friday was one of the crazier Fridays of recent memory. I spent the day with the old crew at Tyco.  I had lunch with my boy Tom. We ate at a cool lil’ pizza spot called Al John’s. We came back and I saw Kecia O. and we greeted how we greet and in an unprecedented move Rosa said hello in a way only she could. Your personality makes you incredible. I got back to the office and it was a zoo. I think this picture sums it up. It’s funny what we get to do for work.

I spent most of Saturday giving Adrian a lesson in Wii. We spent five wrist-breaking hours playing Mario & Sonic at the Olympics. It turns out it was a horrible idea because I woke up Sunday and Monday with “Wii Wrists”, which I’ve never heard of. I, I, I sometimes feel like crap at work. Not just this job, but any job I’ve had. I know you have felt the same. Watch this video and see what happens when you mix that feeling with an irritant. Sunday night Rachel and I decided to be homey and make cookies. We made about 50 peanut butter and chocolate chip and macadamian nut cookies.

I took mine to work Monday and Tuesday and the staff loved ‘em. I think Monday was the first day my personal space was violated. I jokingly told Jen she was invading my space, which was a big mistake. She took it as an invitation to “invade” my space all week. It’s been so nice getting to know you so personally this week, Jen.

Have you ever had IMilk? I wonder if that’s healthier than real milk? Later that day I formed a team, Silver Spin, for the Big Brother Big Sister charity event coming up in March. If you’re local you should bowl or maybe donate a dollar or two. Check out our page here. We’ve already raised nearly $1k in four days! Go us.

If you needed more proof that Sylvia works at one of the top 100 companies in the US, she saw the Academy-award winning group Three 6 Mafia at work. Too cool. So there is a random rabid cat that wanders around our complex. He likes to get close, but I kick at it and it goes away. My mom and Rachel are really scared of it. Yesterday, Rachel was getting out of the car and it was there. I went up stairs and got a few blank DVDs. I used them like ninja stars and threw them at it. LOL. I have a feeling some of you don’t think that’s funny. Don’t hate me for too long—I did call animal control first.

Let’s say I’m done for now. Enjoy the day. Seacrest Out!
