I’ve been spending all of my time filling out paperwork, spackling and losing my mind. Hopefully the next edition will come from the new house. Have a great weekend!

So how about that! Two weeks later and I’m back! It’s not like a vacation back, but just a back, back.

Anyway, how about we start with a happy birthday to the one-year-older folks: Brian, Kayla and Amber.

I think I told you about the time I took my sister bowling for her birthday a few weeks back. Well I cut up the video footage and created this video of it. Marcus’ first time bowling; it’s great.

While you’re at it you can check out Jane’s daughter singing in the rain.

For you shoppers out there, I have two deals for you. First is a friends and family deal from Timberland from Andrea. You can click here and the code is ffsave. That’s 40% off and this is a nice deal for a HP laptop I got in my e-mail.

Hey, Jeremy. Check this out! Don’t you wish you could do that?

So last week I went on a CRAZY photo shoot at Novo Nordisk. I thought it might be a good time, but it turned out to be pretty wild. You can check out the JK Design twitter page for the info and pictures.

Speaking of twitter, our favorite friend Jennifer A. is on twitter now. You should check out her page.

Here’s a funny story: I saw Pat for the first time after her vacation and I gave her a hug. Wait, maybe she gave me a hug. I’m not sure. Either way, I walked away and I smelled like her. Apparently, that’s Intimately Beckham. That stuff smells good, just not on me.

Since football season’s started the front runners are back out in full strength. After the Patriots eeked out a victory and I get the “Don’t hate, Congratulate!!!” message from Jane. It’s going to be a long fall.

Speaking of congrats, congrats to the “Pontiff” Ken. He’s got daughter number two on the way.

I would like to thank Kurt for giving me the formula for a perfect wife. This reading material is appropriate for both men and women. Direct any angry e-mails to Kurt.

That’s it for me. Be sure to check out the cool links below.

Please, would you one time let me be myself!

We started off the weekend on a great note last week. First it was my good friend, Sue O’s, birthday. Happy birthday. Did that package reach you ok?

I spent an hour or so on the train Saturday morning so I could meet my good buddy, Shelly, over at the Yankees game. It didn’t take long for me to get her past her dislike for the Yankees and have her become a huge fan of the stadium.

Of course the Yankees won AND I was able to enjoy a vanilla shake from Johnny Rockets. I felt so good after the game I watched the UFC 102 on pay-per-view with Rachel. The card wasn’t so great, but we did get to see a seven-second knock out.

And yes, it’s football time again! If you want to be a part of our friendly weekly pool, click here.

The other day I tweeted about the new “Blue Card” on my twitter page. Have you seen the commercial for that Chase Sapphire credit card? Doesn’t that woman look like Julia Roberts?

Have you ever YELLED at someone in an e-mail? For those of you who might lack common e-mail sense, it could get you fired.

I spent Tuesday night in New York again at MSG. Amber and I met our friend for a Liberty game. Those seats on the floor are really crazy. There are some cool pictures on the twitter page.

For anyone close to my age, you can understand the excitement I felt when I saw a new Beavis and Butthead clip on YouTube. Unfortunately, it was just a commercial for a movie, but it’s better than nothing. And yes, it’s work safe, but the language is what you’d expect from those dummies.

While I’m not sure where/when this happened, I was told that Andrea watched the shuttle launch. Eh, ok. But I think it’s more important to spotlight the article about her website in the Wall Street Journal.

On Thursday, we spent a few hours in the new @JK_Design office in NY. I’m pretty impressed with it, and you will be too. Pictures to come.

And um, that’s it. More work, more house issues and not enough time.

Don’t forget to check the twitter page for random news and notes from the week.

See ya’!

Here’s to living one more week on this great earth and breathing this great air. I just got back from a nice little run and I’m feeling good. It’s weird though, because it was drizzling, but I’m hotter than usual. Can someone explain that?

Anyway I have David Beckham on in the background as I’m writing this. Unfortunately, the Galaxy are getting beat!

So I found out that one of my friends is an “in the closet” republican and another is a bit more out in the open. I’m amazed that that’s all I got. I guess that explains all of these democratic e-mails I keep getting.

I realized that Rosa sends me an e-mail after every MHF goes out! Thanks for the support!

There was this car show out in Paris and they featured a concept for a crossover mini cooper. I li, li, like it!

The weekend meant that my good friend, LP, and I would be rivals. She was rooting for the Packers and you know who I was rooting for. Luckily, the Cowboys won!

Speaking of football, I have a little football pool going on. If your interested click here.

I received another one of those empty challenges from Adrian. He wants to go bowling—or so he says. We’ll see where that goes.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention how I helped Andrea pick her breakfast at IHOP in our managers meeting. I did that for her, like I do each meeting, and she couldn’t even save me a piece of bacon! LOL.

Jeremy and I had the fourth leg of our homerun derby. He won 2 to 1 in regulation. I expect the championship to happen before the cold comes in.

I have to give credit to Kurt for this incredible find. My god, look at this table top tablet. Ira, I know you want one.

So I ask Bill and Bob to do me a favor and pick me up lunch. That included one of these hand-spun frosties from Wendy’s. They gave me a bunch of crap for it. Whatever! I’m a man who likes a good drink! LOL.

Thursday I had the pleasure of doing lunch with my boy Tracey P. We had a really good chat and that steak I had was good. That Tyco lunchroom is still amazing.

Jerry and I finished up the day with a meeting with Ira and his colleague! It was a great meeting that ended with us talking about the blog—how random. J

Imagine a life with no worries, no job and no boss. Oh wait, that’s today! It’s Friday!

I can’t believe the week that just passed. If it wasn’t for the full moon we just had I would have thought the world was coming to an end.  There was turmoil everywhere. People have been acting CRAZY! If I wasn’t me I might have jumped off a cliff. Since I’m me I’m here and I think in a weird sort of way it was a pretty interesting week.

One thing I’ll mention before anything else is a random thought about the people I know.  I find it amusing to think that I don’t have any Republican friends. Either that or Republicans haven’t learned how to use e-mail or Photoshop. Me, I’m an independent, but I find it strange that every day I get a “wear blue for Obama” e-mail or a Sarah Palin picture with her head Photoshoped on someone else’s body. I have yet to get anything positive about McCain or negative about Obama. Very intriguing. Republicans wake up; I’m Obama’d out!

Anyway, I received this video from Cleo and was freaked out a little. I love a good magic trick. This one is pretty cool.

Rachel reminded me that I forgot to mention her brother’s 30th birthday party that we went to last week. That was a blast. There was swimming, family and some great food!

So apparently, my competitive nature makes me a target to everyone I know. Someone’s always challenging me to some sort of physical challenge. Friday it was Bill. He challenged me to a sprint. And Wednesday it was Joe. He challenged me to bowling. The funny thing is that neither one of them was serious, but they got me charged up in the process. J

My buddy, and new mother, Ally made my day with this quote:Happy Friday” always makes me smile!!! Funny thing is, you always make me smile!

If you’re familiar with the Free Credit Report.com commercials you know they’re funny. This new one is by far my favorite! Speaking of Free Credit Reports, one of my favorite blogs, MyMoneyBlog.com, had a nice write up about getting free credit reports and scores for nine months. Basically, anyone with a credit card or a loan in the last 20 years qualifies. If that’s you, check it out!

On Saturday I had a really busy day. I ran around with Rachel in the morning, did some work for Tyco and stopped by Kya’s house.

Sunday it was all about FOOTBALL. I plopped my behind down and watched football all day!

Monday, I come into work and by now the craziness with Merrill Lynch, AIG, etc. had started! That was the beginning of the end of a good week for me. Every day was a new problem with a new person.

Later I had a chance to talk to Jane. I got a chance to talk to her son for the first time ever. She thought it would be cute to have him cheer against the Cowboys. So I have Jack yelling “GO EAGLES” in my ear and his mother following up. Between them, my vendors and my officemates I couldn’t escape it! Luckily the Cowboys won! BTW, thanks for the random late night e-mail Bob C. FYI the Cowboys won!

I found this link for cheap movie tickets. I haven’t completely checked it out, but it looks like a great deal.

If you missed the opening of SNL with Tina Fay doing Sarah Palin, check it out! I’m amused.

I think I have become the resident “Wii” man across the country. I’ve purchased somewhere near 10 Wiis and Wii Fits in the last year for you guys. I happened to pick one up the other day for a colleague and am supposed to be getting the ever illusive Wii Fit for Kurt. If you need one let me know!

So much to write, but no room. I’ll have to stop this here! I have to go.

Enjoy your weekend!

Yellow, everybody! How are you? I’m doing much better; thank you for asking! So I’ve spent this week trying to find my way out of the hole I’ve found myself in the last two weeks.

I’m still finding that my Bluetooth headset is my new best friend. It’s so much better than holding that stupid receiver.

Anyway, I was supposed to stop by Amber’s house for a cookout on Saturday to help celebrate her birthday, but whatever hurricane or tropical storm that was in the area had other plans for me. Rachel and I stayed home and watched the second half of season three of Entourage.

Luckily, the weather was much better in the morning, so I was able to see Amber, Missy, Marcus and Asia. I’m always amused by how my sister greets me. This time it was a running/jumping hug with a bunch of kisses. Very, very exciting!

Our old friend Ira decided that it was the perfect time to gloat about his J-E-T-S. That brought nearly every old Tyco communicator into the loop. The e-mail chain lasted about two days and I was thoroughly amused!

If you ever doubted that Tiger Woods is the greatest of all times, watch this. It’s legit too!

Wednesday I spent the night setting up my fish tank in preparation for Rachel’s new fish.

On Thursday I picked up the fish! I got two sharks, a crab and an algae eater. I got back home and put them in their new homes. I spent some time playing Wii and then I went for a run.

And now we’re back to that day!

Congrats, you’ve just killed the work week. See ya’!

GO COWBOYS!

Wow, this is utterly amazing. I can’t believe that I was so busy that I forgot to write the blog! Between my own work and covering for my officemate and his work it was just too much! I lost my mind this week! Thursday late night when I probably would have been writing this I was working on something for my buddy Jane W. over at JWI events. I feel asleep at 1 a.m. and that was that. I remembered the blog sometime during my commute to my first meeting of the day. Since I had meetings all day and didn’t eat lunch until 3:30 p.m. writing it during lunch wasn’t even an option.

Outside of spending the most of my days talking on my Bluetooth headset, the week is a blurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr……..

Oh yeah, Ron, did you get married? Pictures?

Maybe next week will work out better.

Sep 28

Gooooooooooooood morning, Vietnam!  I’m an idiot, because I have no clue why that came to mind. I’m wondering, to myself, if one day I will wake up in deep depression. Can a person be this happy for an extended period of time or will my bubble burst like the “dot com” boom? Hmm…

Well, Friday I talked to my buddy Paula about this project she needed done. If you don’t know Paula she is great, but lately she has been really busy and reminds me of this guy. Paula, after your meeting, I am going to talk to your boss about some time off, you deserve it. I talked to my girl J. Rock or Jessica R. one of the infamous “Ladies of TEPS.” I don’t know how I know these cool people, but she is now the Dean of Admissions at a school in New Hampshire—nice.

Sunday I stopped by my mom’s job for a bit then I went shopping, which was exciting. I picked up a couple pairs of shoes, some pants and a shirt. When I got home I found myself literally stressed out by Carbon. I couldn’t beat this board for my life. I turned that crap off and watched the Pursuit of Happyness with Rachel. I give it two thumbs up.

I came to work and was surprised by Kurt. He decided to wear a shirt and tie. This is only news if you know Kurt. Kurt is completely anti-shirt and tie so this was surprising, but we’ll get back to this. I checked my e-mail and one of my Google alerts included MyHappyFriday. I was thoroughly amused. See it here. I think I was eating my lunch when I found this picture of Brittany Spears. Do I need to comment?  And man, I don’t know why I didn’t take a picture of the “Olsen Twins,” but Elaine and Pat apparently called each other and coordinated their double pink shirted outfits—classic!

So if you didn’t realize Rachel and I like to have fun so we had a fashion show Monday night with the new clothes I bought. We had loud music, an announcer (me) and cameras flashing (her). Thankfully she liked the new fall collection. Tuesday, we, JK Design, created this “smoking hot” poster for Paula’s Global Audit meeting, my god it was hot.

By Wednesday, it was the third day of the week and this was the third day in the row Kurt wore a tie. I seriously knew something was up. I found out Kurt apparently went on a shopping binge and was trying out his new digs. The decision on Bond’s 756 ball was made. To the Hall of Fame with an “*,” man that’s harsh. Rachel told me that she was sent a “Happy Sunday” text by her colleague Sara. Pretty funny if you heard the whole, short story.

Thursday, what the heck, Kurt wore a shirt and tie today—unbelievable. I saw Sue and she promptly made me feel bad that I didn’t have Xbox 360 and I wasn’t getting the most anticipated game of the year, Halo 3. How about I don’t want an Xbox, haha. I talked to Shelly and of course she had another funny story. I almost think it’s funnier because…Never mind that might give away what it was about. Haha.

So I went to bowling, but I forgot my jeans so I was bowling in pin stripe pants. What a loser I am. I saw a bunch of new folks this week. Tracey, his wife and son, Clayton T. and Carol P. During bowling I was reading a really cool story about skunks. I wish I could send you the link, but I couldn’t find it. It was weird at bowling because I like to go there bowl, smile and come home, but it was different this week. People kept coming up to me like oh you’re so good, don’t want to bowl against you, yaddy, yaddy ya. I tried to brush it off, but I couldn’t and I was NERVOUS; the kind of nervous where you get a knot in your stomach. Dammit, I hate people some time. LOL. I got over it quick, but I sucked anyway (168, 214, 125). Embarrassing.

Here’s how you get through today: First, let’s talk about you. You have a job. Why? Because you are good at what you do. Logically, I extrapolate that your job needs you.  This means you can sit on your butt and relax today and here are two reasons why:  You won’t get fired, at least not today, because it takes time to find a replacement and that’s going to take at least a month. Two, hiring a “new you” costs more than 10 grand.  Trust me, they aren’t spending that kind of money because you spent the day reading my blog and watching non-work safe spoofs of the OJ robbery on Youtube. Relax!

Random Stuff

Wow. I guess she is getting ready for basketball season.

This, ladies and gentleman, is the best time of year! I’m so excited to be alive right now it’s great. Everything is converging and it’s beautiful. Baseball is heating up (Yanks are 1.5 out), JK Design is crazy busy with new and old clients, hockey is about to begin (go Rangers), and lots of other stuff, but that’s beside the point.

So right after I sent out the out the blog, I had two long and funny conversations with Shelly and Pam. They always have great stories. I spent my Saturday morning at Tyco with Bruce T. from Brunswick Sign. I came back home and spent some quality time with the Wii. I got this new game Need for Speed Carbon. I was very surprised last week that you guys were actually into Guitar Hero. I spent my Sunday in the hell some of you call Baby’s “R” Us. That place is like Wal-Mart on crack. Too many people! Then I went to see my little niece, Kayla. She is so cute at 2. Her mother, Kelly, put on a fun gathering at McDonalds. Aren’t they cute?

Monday I found out that I may be going to jail some time soon. Well not really, but maybe if I go out of state in my baggy jeans. It’s crazy because this guy died the other day and I oddly feel like this is something I might do. I have to remember to control myself. Ira, I guess your boy Barry Bonds got a bit of that nasty karma you love so much returned to him. The guy who bought his 756 ball is letting the public vote on the fate of the ball. Amber came over while I was playing Carbon. I gave her Dance Dance Revolution Super Nova for her birthday. I think I can officially say that, that is the most I’ve spent on a video game. It came with the game pad and all, but man that was a lot of money. It should be a blast to play. When she left I took out the trash and yep it was a bit nippy outside. I figure a few of you will be sick before the weekend is out—too cold, too fast. L Tuesday was defined by this.

So what does a seriously cool design firm do to get over hump day? We, well Kurt, goes to the butcher and gets him to hand carve some premium meat. Why you ask? So we can have a “Cheese Steak” party. Look at him on the grill! Jerry landed us a huge new client that I am very excited about. I found out my buddy Aaron B. became a Rutgers Police Officer. Congrats! Rachel cooked some Mexican and that was the day!

Yep, you guessed it; Rachel and I wore an all black (I wore an all black suit, shirt and tie) Thursday in support of the Jena Six. I walk out my house in the morning and a woman said “is that for the Jena Six?” I smiled and shook my head. Martinique got her first mention as company spokesperson. Here are her Google search results if you want to see what she said. Later we had the first week of Tyco league bowling. I was excited because I got to see my teammate Laura and a bunch of other people like Barbara J., Cindy R., Kevin W., Sharon K., Bill L. and everyone else. Honestly, I wasn’t so excited to bowl, partially because I didn’t have a belt and my pants were falling down. J I bowled a 210, 214 and 182 anyway—haha.

So if you hadn’t guessed, I am tired. Feel free to feel bad for me, buy me an iced coffee or bring me a card full of money. Any of the previous might help out. Otherwise, do me a favor: enjoy this last bit of summer. While I spend the day on my butt decompressing from the week, take your kids out to the park or ride your bike around the neighborhood or go to the liquor store buy a bottle of wine you’ve never had and swing by my house so we can enjoy it.

A special hello to Rosa, the inventor of Happy Friday, Happy Monday (only a few more days until Friday) and oh my god, Happy Thursday (tomorrow is Friday!).

Sep 14

Good morning, folks. I’m at work early (I was when I started this) because I’m an idiot, but that’s beside the point. I have to say hello to one of my favorite Wachovia employee’s Meghan G., you so should have been on the list sooner.

So I’ll go a bit out of order because I think I should say this first. I signed up Rachel and I for another Susan G. Komen walk. It’s going to be at Great Adventure on October 14th this year so it should be fun. To donate, join us or read more about why we’re walking click here. Which reminds me, Ira isn’t it you who hates the use of “click here” or is that you Lisa?

So I forgot to mention last week that Jon turned the computer that we made from scratch, mostly him, from an expensive paper weight into a functioning machine again. Thank you, sir. When I sent out last week’s blog I got the funniest of out office message from Reager. You are a funny man. Look at my lunch from Friday, yes! After work Friday I went to my mailbox in Piscataway and in the parking lot I saw this ingenious advertising. Then a bunch of us from Piscataway High went out to celebrate Amber’s birthday. We went bowling and stayed up all night playing this video game Guitar Hero.

Saturday I spent the day on my butt, literally. I was cleaning my bike in the parking lot. I was reminded how wonderful Jessica T. was on Monday. She is one the few people I know who smile more than 95 percent of the time.  I can’t remember the last time she was in a bad mood. How do you do that?

Tuesday was Max’s Birthday. How could I forget it, it was 9/11. I went to meet a new client with Jerry and I introduced him to Pollo Tropical afterwards. Needless to say, he loved the Puerto Rican food. When we got back to work I allegedly touched Jen’s butt—I DIDN’T! Really, I didn’t Jen. Did I? I have to give respect to my sparring partner in my MMA class. He had to put me in a full nelson and I was sweating like I was dunked in a tank of water—ew.

Wednesday I got a special gift from my buddy Lisa. She sent me real chopsticks from China. Thank you. I talked to my grandma and she told me my cousin Chris E. was a model in an ad in Black Enterprise. I thumbed through mine and there he is in the Liberty Mutual ad, so cool. And today is today. I’m so busy which is why this is so short.

So I’m pretty sure you’d rather be_______ so click here buy a shirt and tell everyone else how you feel.
