Happy Friday! *7.6.07* Happy Friday! *7.20.07*
Jul 13

84 degrees and mostly sunny, yep—sounds like another Happy Friday to me. So as usual the hardest part of this e-mail is where to start. How bout it’s time to get CRUNK! It’s ok, I can say that—it’s no longer Ebonics! Webster’s Dictionary says so, read that article. So, I did some thinking and I feel like I should make this week’s e-mail different. I’ll make you happy with the lovely lives of my friends and colleagues.

So let’s start with a little me. Here’s a sad fact: I’ve never seen Jurassic Park! So over the weekend I saw part one and the Lost World—we’ll watch the third this weekend (Mitzi it sounds great with Surround Sound). Sunday was great, we had our first Wii party! Amber and Steven came over and we went NUTS! On Monday my young buddy, Sylvia “Silver” Duran, got promoted to Associate Product Line Manager at Nike—Holly Cannoli! I’ve very proud of you, girl. Then the Courier News stopped by for yet another photo shoot and of course JK Design was on the front cover of the local section on Tuesday—congrats Jerry. Now Wednesday, that was another story. I was either tired or sick, because I overslept. Now when I say oversleep, I mean it. I woke up at 1:12 P.M. Of course my boss, and every other employee at JK has been busting my chops ever since. NO, I don’t use drugs, specifically Heroin, and I really did oversleep until 1p.m. LOL!

My girlfriend, Rachel, got an A in her summer class. She’s not only hotter than me, she’s also smarter. Note to self: speed up plan to fatten her up and accidently scare her in a way that forces her to stay with me (JK).  Tyco Electronics also rang the bell at the NYSE Wednesday. Hey, Sheri and Martin! In very exciting news, I’m back in business with my business partner, Brian, from college. I’m sure you’ll hear more about that later. And the week ended on a great note. I found out my colleague, Jeremy, was a superstar. Apparently, one press release will do that to you! LOL.

At our softball game, I went 3 for 4 with a single, double and inside the park homerun. We lost, but Mike Creedon looked good sliding into second. Oh yes, my fish had babies—nice! So, if this e-mail sucked and you have heartburn, nausea, indigestion, upset stomach or diarrhea, watch this! Here’s how I end this one. My buddy, Tim Gaghan, asked me if I am actually this “happy.” And that brings me to my point: Once you realize that work is often no more than a good way to get paid and that the most important things are generally the small everyday things, you too will cruise into every Friday and end it with a shot of my favorite liqueur, Amarula. Jerry, I love my job, don’t fire me!

A special hello to Rosa, the inventor of Happy Friday, Happy Monday (only a few more days until Friday) and oh my god, Happy Thursday (tomorrow is Friday!).
